Our Sunday Worship takes place at 10.45am. Services are lead by wide range of preachers and ministers from both URC and Methodist denominations in a wide variety of styles. A prayer group meets before the Sunday morning service.
Our Evening Worship is at 6.30pm, on the second Sunday of the month the service takes place in a local residential home.
A number of joint services take place during the year. Some are with our partners in Churches Together in Longridge (CTL) – Remembrance Sunday, Civic Sunday, Carol Service, Good Friday and Pentecost; others with the Methodist Circuit and URC District.
There is a fortnightly Wednesday morning service and a short prayer service every Friday at 7.45am.
Bible Study or Alpha Groups are organized in short series throughout the year including ecumenical ones during Lent.
Junior Church meets during the morning service and shares with the latter part of the service.
An 11+ group meets fortnightly after the evening services.
Christ Church has close links with Anglican and two Roman Catholic Parishes in Longridge. Together we form Churches Together in Longridge. As well as the acts of worship there are joint house groups; Lenten Lunches; charity coffee days; a Fun Run and an occasional Film Club.
Together we have a marquee with refreshments and books at Longridge Field Day and Longridge Agricultural Show. At Pentecost we have had weeks of prayer with joint events in all churches and a joint ‘Picnic in the Park’.
